Mariska en Jeffrey - huwelijksreportage in de Zaanstreek

Valentijnsdag, vorige week zaterdag, was de trouwdag van Mariska en Jeffrey. Jeffrey is de collega van een goede kennis van ons, Nico Visser. Nico is een zeer enthousiaste fotograaf en zou de huwelijksreportage verzorgen voor het bruidspaar. Ik heb het huwelijk als tweede fotograaf / assistent meegefotografeerd. Nico had net een nieuwe camera en die heb ik gelijk 'geconfisceerd' :) Hij heeft nl. de camera waar ik al sinds die werd aangekondigd een oogje op heb, en ik moet zeggen, wat geweldig apparaat!
Valentine's Day, last Saturday, was Mariska and Jeffrey's wedding day. Jeffrey is a colleague of our friend Nico Visser. Nico is a very enthusiastic photographer and was going to photograph this wedding. I was there as Nico's second shooter / assistant. Nico brought his brand new camera, which I 'confiscated' right away. It is the camera which I have been eying ever since it was announced, and wow, what an amazing machine it is!

Voor de fotosessie waren we bij Landgoed Beeckestijn. Als huwelijksfotograaf kom je op de mooiste plekken, want ook dit was een erg gave locatie met een prachtig landgoed en erg mooie lanen. En we hadden ook nog eens geweldig mooi weer!
We shot the photoshoot at Landgoed Beeckestijn. As a wedding photographer, you get to see the most beautiful venues, and this definitely was a great location with an amazing estate and beautiful treelined walks. And the weather was great to boot!



Jeffrey's vader had wel een heel bijzondere 'trouwauto' geregeld - het bruidspaar trok aardig wat bekijks onderweg!
Jeffrey's Dad had arranged for this quite unique 'wedding car' - the bride and groom attracted a great deal of attention on the road!

Na de fotosessie en een lunch bij Mariska's ouders thuis, gingen we naar Huis te Zaanen aan de Zaan voor de huwelijksceremonie.
After the photoshoot and a lunch at Mariska's parents' home, we went to Huis te Zaanen at the Zaan river for the wedding ceremony.

De huwelijksceremonie werd gevolgd door een receptie voor alle aanwezigen. Tijdens de receptie sneed het bruidspaar hun bruidstaart aan en er was tijd om nog met vrienden en collega's op de foto te gaan. Daarna zat voor Nico en mij de dag er op. Het bruidspaar bleef met hun daggasten na de receptie nog eten in Huis te Zaanen en heeft daar ook hun huwelijksdag doorgebracht!
Following the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom held a reception for all their guests. They also cut their wedding cake during the reception and they had some time to take photos with their friends and colleagues. After that, the day was over for Nico and me, but the bride and groom stayed at Huis te Zaanen for a nice dinner with their day guests. The bride and groom even spent their wedding night at Huis te Zaanen!

En omdat Marco er niet bij was, deze keer geen ringenfoto maar een close-up van het bruidsboeket!
And since Marco wasn't there, no ring shot this time but a close up of the bride's bouquet!

Sandra en Job - trouwalbum en Bruidspaar van de Maand

Vorige week waren Sandra en Job bij ons in de studio om hun trouwalbums op te halen. Ook Sandra en Job hadden een fotografie-pakket met daarin drie albums: een groot eigentijds fotoalbum voor henzelf en twee kleine geschenkalbums voor de wederzijdse ouders. Altijd een leuk aandenken!

Last weekend Sandra and Job came over to our studio to pick up their wedding albums. Sandra and Job chose a wedding collection including three wedding albums: a large contemporary album for themselves, and two smaller gift albums for each set of parents. Those always make a great gift!

De trouwkaart van dit bruidspaar was groen met gebroken wit, dus kozen zij ervoor om ook hun trouwalbum en de bewaarbox in die kleuren te laten maken. Een mooie combinatie die me doet denken aan de lente (en van al die druilerige dagen krijg ik wel extra veel zin in het voorjaar!).

The wedding invitation of this bride and groom was green and ivory, so they chose to have their wedding album and the album box in the same colors as their invitation. A great combination which really reminds me of spring (and with all these grey and rainy days I'm so ready for spring!).


Hoewel Sandra en Job in oktober zijn getrouwd, waren zij in december 'Bruidspaar van de Maand' in het plaatselijke weekblad, De Koggenlander / Medemblikker Courant. Het grappige was dat wij in de week dat de krant uitkwam van verschillende mensen uit de buurt positief commentaar kregen. Blijkbaar wordt het weekblad goed gelezen en wordt er ook gelet op de bronvermelding onder de foto's!

Even though Sandra and Job got married in Octover, they made 'Bride and Groom of the Month' in December in the local weekly newspaper. The fun part is that we received quite a bit of feedback from neighbors from this newspaper article. So I guess the newspaper actually gets read and people even look for the bylines with the photos!

En tot slot nog een foto met de kerstkaart / bedankkaart van Sandra en Job. Zij zijn zelf ook supercreatief en zij hadden hun eigen kaart ontworpen met een aantal foto's uit hun bruidsreportage. Prominent voorop stond Marco's foto van de trouwringen met de kleurpotloden.

And last but not least an image of their Christmas card / Thank you card. They are both very creative and designed their own card with images from their wedding. Marco's image of the wedding rings with the crayons took front page!
