Carine en René - huwelijksreportage in Amersfoort en Soest

Dit weekend trouwden Carine en René. Ze waren allebei erg zenuwachtig, maar de dag verliep vlekkeloos. Ze zagen er allebei fantastisch uit. De bruidegom in een prachtig driedelig pak, de bruid in een geweldige champagne/mokka-kleurige bruidsjurk. Ze pasten perfect bij elkaar. Zelfs de trouwauto, een stoere cabrio, paste er qua kleur helemaal bij!
This weekend Carine and René tied the knot. They were both quite nervous, but the day went great. They looked amazing. The groom wore a three piece suit and the bride wore an awesome champagne/mocha colored wedding dress. They matched perfectly. Even their wedding car, a great convertible, was in a matching color!

Tijdens de ceremonie in het oude stadhuis van Amersfoort hebben we deze foto van Carine gemaakt (voor de fotografen en andere nieuwsgierigen onder onze lezers: deze foto is genomen met veel tegenlicht en bijgelicht door een op afstand bediende flitser rechts van de bruid).
During the ceremony in the old cityhall of Amersfoort, we took this image of Carine (for the photographers who are reading and anyone else interested: this photo had a lot of backlight and we lit it from the side with an off camera flash to the bride's right).

Carine is juf en de kindjes van haar klas waren als verrassing naar het stadhuis gekomen met feestelijke bogen met ballonnen en heel veel bellenblaas.
Carine is a teacher and the kids from her class surprised her by coming to the cityhall with festive arches with balloons and they were blowing lots of bubbles.

Het was prachtig weer zodat het bruidspaar buiten gefeliciteerd kon worden. Daarna hadden we even de tijd voor een paar foto's in Amersfoort. Vaste blogvolgers zullen deze muur misschien wel herkennen. Hij blijft cool!
The weather was wonderful so the guests were congratulating the bride and groom outside. Afterwards, we had a few minutes for some photo's in Amersfoort. Our frequent blog readers may recognize this wall. It's still cool!

De rest van de trouwdag werd gevierd in restaurant De Soesterduinen. Voor de fotosessie zijn we naar de Soester Duinen toegegaan, een natuurgebied vlakbij het restaurant. Iedereen moest even een stukje door het zand lopen voor deze groepsfoto (de bruid had haar schoenen al snel uitgedaan!), maar gelukkig deed iedereen dat graag. Het is daardoor een leuke, 'anders-dan-anders' groepsfoto geworden.
The rest of the wedding day was celebrated in restaurant De Soesterduinen. For the photo shoot, we went to the Soester Duinen, a scenic area close to the restaurant. Everyone had to walk through the sand for this group shot (the bride took off her shoes quite soon after getting in the sand!), but no one seemed to mind. Which resulted in this fun, 'different-than-usual' group shot.

Vervolgens was er een picknick voor de daggasten, terwijl wij de tijd hadden voor een fotosessie met het bruidspaar.
After we took the group shot, there was a picknick for the day guests, while we had some time for a photoshoot with the bride and groom.

Aina en Sander - huwelijksreportage

Vorige week alweer trouwden Aina en Sander in het mooie Vinkeveen. En ondanks de herfstige regen van de dagen er voor en erna was het gelukkig stralend weer op hun trouwdag. Aina is een prachtige blonde Noorse en Sander is een knappe Hollandse vent. De foto hierboven vind ik zo lief!!
Last week, Aina and Sander got married in beautiful Vinkeveen. And even though it felt like fall the days before and after their wedding day, we had very nice weather with lots of sunshine on their wedding day. Aina is a stunning Norwegian blonde and Sander is a handsome Dutch guy. I love the photo above, it's soooo sweet!

Voorafgaand aan de ceremonie hadden we een uurtje voor een mooie fotosessie met het bruidspaar. Ik ben voor deze foto opgegeten door de rode mieren, maar het resultaat mag er zijn!
Prior to the ceremony, we had about an hour for a photoshoot with the bride and groom. I got eaten by red ants when we were getting this image, but the result is totally worth it!

De hond van het bruidspaar, Chico, was er ook bij en ook hij droeg zijn mooiste pak. Hij is overigens een Bichon Frise en hij is te leuk.
Chico, the bride and groom's dog, attended the wedding as well, and he wore his nicest suit too. By the way, he's a Bichon Frise and he's too cute.

Tijdens de ceremonie hebben Aina en Sander bijna de hele tijd hand in hand gezeten. Zo romantisch!
During the ceremony, Aina and Sander held hands almost the entire time. So romantic!

Na de ceremonie was het tijd voor een receptie met alle daggasten.
After the ceremony, it was time for a reception with all of the couple's day guests.

En daar was ook de bruidstaart....
And that meant wedding cake....

... en champagne!

We hebben nog wat groepsfoto's gemaakt met de familie en toen was er ook gelegenheid om onderstaande foto te maken. Toen Aina vertelde dat Chico er de hele dag bij zou zijn, had ik gelijk deze foto al in mijn hoofd, dus ik was erg blij dat we dit plaatje hebben kunnen maken!
We took a few formal portraits with the couple's family and that's when we had the opportunity to take the image below. When Aina told me Chico would be there all day, I had planned this shot in my head. So I was very happy to actually be able to capture this image!

Tussen de receptie en het diner was er een boottocht voor alle daggasten... let op het bruidspaar op het achterdek :).
Between the reception and the dinner, the couple had arranged for a boat tour... notice the bride and groom at the back deck :).

Tijdens de receptie was er muziek, inclusief zanger en saxofonist. De trouwringen hebben we deze keer vastgelegd met de saxofoon als achtergrond.
During the recption, there was music, including a singer and a saxophone player. We used his saxophone as a back drop for the wedding rings.

Aina en Sander, supergefeliciteerd! Het is geweldig om te zien hoe verliefd jullie zijn!!

Fereshteh en Bas - huwelijksreportage II

Zoals beloofd vandaag nog een paar foto's van de prachtige huwelijksdag van Fereshteh en Bas.
As promised, I am posting some more photo's of the wonderful wedding day of Fereshteh and Bas.

Fereshteh droeg erg coole trouwschoenen met een waanzinnig hoge hak waar ze 's avonds zelfs mee kon dansen! 

Fereshteh had very cool wedding shoes with an incredibly high heel. She even danced in them at night!

De ceremonie vond plaats in het Stadhuis van Eindhoven. Een bijzondere trouwzaal met ronde leren banken voor de getuigen en gasten en een aantal videoschermen waar de ceremonie vanaf verschillende standpunten gevolgd kon worden.

The ceremony took place in the Eindhoven Cityhall. They have a unique wedding hall with round leather seats for the witnesses and guests and a few video screens showing the ceremony from different angles.

Na de ceremonie hebben we in het Stadhuis een aantal portretfoto's gemaakt van de bruid...
After the ceremony we used the Cityhall as a backdrop for a few portrait photo's of the bride....

... waarna we naar de geweldige graffiti-lokatie gingen waar ik eerder al een paar foto's van heb geplaatst. Nog eentje bij de knalroze muur!

De gasten waren ondertussen al naar de Treeswijkhoeve in Waalre gegaan, waar wij na de fotoshoot ook naar toe zijn gegaan. Er was een heerlijk 'walking dinner' terwijl Ziya, of te wel Blue Flamingo de muziek verzorgde.

The guests had already left for the Treeswijkhoeve in Waalre, and we followed them there after the photoshoot. A wonderful 'walking dinner' was served whily Ziya, also known as Blue Flamingo, took care of the music.

We hadden nog heel even tijd voor een wat foto's in de prachtige groene omgeving van de Treeswijkhoeve.
We had a few minutes for some more photo's at the nice green surroundings of the Treeswijkhoeve.

Het was een prachtige huwelijksdag met massa's mooie foto's!

Grote Prijs der Lage Landen

Antzinthepantz is de grote winnaar van de Merwestaal Grote Prijs der Lage Landen 2008, een van de belangrijkste draverijen in ons land die afgelopen zondag op Renbaan Duindigt werd verreden. Een reportage.

Antzinthepantz is the great winner of the Merwestaal Grand Prix of the Low Lands 2008, one of the most important horseraces for trotters in our country, held at the Duindigt Racetrack last Sunday. A reportage.

Het was een mooie dag, met veel publiek, spannende koersen, heerlijk weer en drukte bij de toto. En niet onbelangrijk: Marco kreeg de kans om zijn deze week aangeschafte megalens uit te testen (voor de kenners: de 400 mm / f 2,8). En, zoals te zien is in bovenstaande actie-foto's, het is een geweldige lens.

It was a beautiful day, with lots of spectators, exciting races, lovely weather and a lots of business at the betting shop. And, very important, Marco got the chance to test his 'new' mega-lens he purchased this week (the 400 mm / 2.8). And as can be seen in the above action shots, it is a great lens.
