Nicole en Marco - huwelijksceremonie in Slot Zuylen

Nicole en Marco zijn al zolang samen, dat veel mensen niet meer hadden verwacht dat zij nog zouden gaan trouwen. Maar tijdens een van hun verre reizen vroeg Marco zijn bruid ten huwelijk en natuurlijk zei Nicole gelijk ja. En zo was het na meer dan 15 jaar samen toch zover: de huwelijksdag van Nicole en Marco!

Nicole and Marco have been together for such a long period of time that no one had expected them to get married anymore. But during one of their travels abroad, Marco proposed to his bride and of course Nicole agreed right away. And that's how, after more than 15 years together, the wedding day of Nicole and Marco came about!

Zowel de bruid als de bruidegom waren op de ochtend van hun huwelijksdag bij de ouders van Nicole in Maarssen. Marco had een waanzinnig mooi trouwpak gevonden in België, Nicole had een prachtige bruidsjurk in twee kleuren.

Both the bride and the groom were at Nicole's parents' home the morning of their wedding day. Marco found an awesome wedding suit in Belgium, Nicole found a beautiful wedding dress in two colors.

Hun trouwauto was wel erg bijzonder. Nicole is dol op limousines en ook op mini's - geen voor de hand liggende combinatie. Of toch wel? Wouter van Minilimo had de oplossing!
Their wedding car was very unique. Nicole loves limo's and mini's - not an easy combination. Or is it? Wouter of Minilimo had the anwer!

We zijn vanuit Maarssen naar Utrecht gereden, samen met Brent en Mirthe, de bruidskinderen van Nicole en Marco. In de kloostertuinen van de Utrechtse Dom hebben we foto's gemaakt. De prachtige zachte kleuren en het invallende licht van de kloostergangen paste echt perfect bij dit bruidspaar!
From Maarssen, we drove to Utrecht, and Brent and Mirthe, the flower boy and girl (wedding kids? is that a term I can use?), joined us. We did the photoshoot at the monastry's gardens of the Utrecht Dom church. The nice soft colors and the indirect light of the monastry's hallways were perfect for this bride and groom!

Na de fotosessie gingen we terug naar Maarssen voor een gezellig lunch met de familie en wat "staatsieportretten". En daarna was het dan echt zo ver: tijd voor de huwelijksceremonie in Slot Zuylen! Op deze foto kun je de minilimo ook zien.
After the photoshoot we went back to Maarssen for a nice lunch with the families and some formal pictures. And thereafter, it was time for the real thing: the wedding ceremny in castle Slot Zuylen! In this image, you can see the minilimo as well as the castle.

In het slot was een mooie trap met alweer van die mooie zachte kleuren!

Na de huwelijksceremonie lieten de bruid en bruidegom ieder een bruidsduif los.
After the weddingceremony, both the bride and the groom released a wedding dove.

De huwelijksreceptie was in Grand Restaurant Belle, een prachtig restaurant vlakbij Slot Zuijlen. Daar werd ook de bruidstaart aangesneden. En wederom was er een geweldige taart, deze keer van Sweet Things in Utrecht. Raad eens wat een grote hobby is van het bruidspaar :)
The wedding reception was held in Restaurant Belle, a very nice restaurant close to Slot Zuijlen. This is also where the bride and groom cut the wedding cake. And yet again there was this amazing wedding cake, this time made by Sweet Things in Utrecht. Guess what hobby both bride and groom have :)

Er waren ook bubbels om te proosten en Marco ('mijn' Marco, niet de bruidegom :) ) heeft daar weer eens iets bijzonders mee gedaan met de trouwringen.
There were bubbles to toast with and Marco ('my' Marco, not Marco the groom :) ) did something special again with the wedding rings.

Het was een heerlijke dag, waarbij we aardig wat mazzel hebben gehad met het weer. Ongetwijfeld was het afsluitende diner ook heerlijk en daarna ook nog een fantastische huwelijksreis, wat wil je nog meer!
It was a wonderful day, where we were quite lucky with the weather. I'm sure the dinner was delicious and after such a great day, the bride and groom had their honeymoon to look forward to as well. What else could you wish for!
