Point Reyes National Seashore

Na San Francisco zijn we naar Marin County gegaan - naar Point Reyes National Seashore. Dit is de lodge waar we geslapen hebben (en waar we 's avonds eerst nog heerlijk op ons eigen terrasje hebben gezeten).

After leaving San Francisco, we went north to Marin County - to Point Reyes National Seashore. This is the lodge where we stayed at (and were we spent a nice quiet evening on our own little patio).



We hebben twee kortere wandelingen gemaakt in Point Reyes - waarvan eentje precies over de St Andreas breuk en een andere naar de ruige kust. We hebben ook een langere wandeling gemaakt die mijl na mijl behoorlijk steil omhoog ging. Het was bewolkt en mistig, wat een heel spookachtig beeld gaf. Erg gaaf.

We did two short walks in Point Reyes - one right over the St Andreas fault and the other to the rough coast at the edge of Point Reyes. We also did a longer hike that was a pretty steep climb. It was overcast and foggy, which was a pretty spooky sight. Very cool.



Het pad naar de kust (een van de kortere wandelingen) had supergave bloemen langs de kant. Ik bleef maar roepen dat ik ze zo mooi vond, dus speciaal voor Marco (die daar helemaal gek van werd) nog even een foto van die bloemen.

On the hike to the coast (one of the shorter walks) there were wonderful flowers along the path. I was driving Marco nuts because I kept repeating how much I loved them, so I include this shot especially for him.
