Carolyn en Vincent

Afgelopen vrijdag hadden we de eer om het huwelijk van Carolyn en Vincent te fotograferen. Carolyn komt uit Singapore en het was heel bijzonder om te zien hoe Singaporese rituelen en tradities door Carolyn en haar familie met deze Giethoornse bruiloft werden verweven.

Last Friday we had the honor to photograph Carolyn and Vincent's wedding. Carolyn is originally from Singapore and it was very special to see how Carolyn and her family incorporated Singaporese rituals and traditions in this Giethoorn wedding.

Zo deed de vader van Carolyn, geheel volgens de traditie, haar sluier in haar haar.

Carolyn's father put on her veil, as is tradition in their culture.



Het was erg warm vrijdag en in de Doopsgezinde kerk waar de ceremonie plaatsvond was het dan ook goed op temperatuur. Carolyn had een waaier om haarzelf en Vincent wat koelte toe te wuiven, en dat leverde onderstaande romantische foto op.

It was very warm last Friday and it was pretty hot in the baptist church where the ceremony was held. Carolyn used a Chinese fan to fan herself and Vincent, which resulted in this romantic picture.

Tijdens de ceremonie kreeg Vincent van zijn schoonvader een symbolische ring (in het midden, tussen de roodgouden trouwringen).

His father-in-law gave Vincent a symbolic ring during the ceremony (it's the middle ring, in between the red gold wedding rings).



En wat natuurlijk niet mag ontbreken zijn foto's van de bruid en bruidegom in Giethoorn! Marco en ik hadden een motorbootje ter beschikking en Carolyn en Vincent een traditionele punterboot. Zo zijn we heerlijk over het water gevaren voor een geweldige fotoreportage.

And we can't leave out photos of the bride and groom in Giethoorn! Marco and I had a little motorboat while Carolyn and Vincent had a typical Giethoorn gondola. We had a great boattrip over the Giethoorn waters while shooting amazing photos of the couple.
